The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is a non-profit research and education organisation supported by its members. Its mission is to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. Founded in 1936, ULI has over 45,000 members worldwide representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service.
A multidisciplinary real estate forum, ULI facilitates an open exchange of ideas, information and experience among industry leaders and policy makers dedicated to creating better places.
The extraordinary impact that the ULI has on land use decision making around the world is based on its members sharing expertise and best practice on the plethora of factors that affect the built environment.
As a nonpartisan organisation, ULI is recognised as one of China’s most respected and widely quoted sources of objective information on urban planning, growth and development. ULI China Mainland is active in Beijing and Shanghai and delivers regular content-rich events, product councils, and study tours, and delivers the widely attended ULI China Mainland Winter and Summer Meetings.
